Celebrating 30 Years in Practice!

I graduated chiropractic school 30 years ago on April 18th. Wow! What a ride! When I graduated, the internet hadn’t yet revolutionized medical education and practice management. Our appointment books were actually paper! We used land-line telephones, photocopiers and fax machines. We used x-ray machines that took images on film and had to be run through processors. My how things have changed!

Over the course of my career, I’ve owned and operated practices on Nantucket Island (15 years), and Asheville, North Carolina (3 years). My wife, Tina, and I took ownership of Healing Frontiers in 2010 and have been happily practicing here for the last 12 years.

I never could have guessed how rewarding and fulfilling a career in chiropractic would be! In these amazing places I’ve been fortunate enough to live we’ve treated many thousands of patients and seen too many miracles to mention. I’ve been blessed to be part of a profession that truly makes a profound impact for good in our communities.

By far, the most rewarding part of my career is the time I’ve spent in Wolfeboro. This is a great place to live and work. I love walking down the street and being greeted by this patient or that with a smile or a joke and a happy word. It’s a great way to make a living knowing that you spend your days helping your friends and neighbors experience less pain and greater health and happiness.

Dr. Mike TokaDr. Mike Toka Chiropractor Wolfeboro NH 03894
Chiropractor

Dr. Mike Toka is from the garden state in Southern New Jersey. In 2012 he graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences and has since been a practicing chiropractor in Sunny Southern California. He owes his life and health to chiropractic care. Dr. Toka found the transformative power of Chiropractic when he was 17 years old. He was involved in motocross racing as a child and experienced traumatic impacts throughout his adolescence. At the young age of 15 he experienced debilitating pain throughout his body that often left him bedridden. His family sought high and low for answers, but the outcome was medicine to block the symptoms with the eventual need for surgery. This determination led to a family friend sharing the healing powers of Chiropractic, which ultimately changed the trajectory of his life. He saw a Chiropractor and had immediate improvement after being examined and adjusted for the first time in his life. That day he learned how amazing the body is when you remove the interference to allow your body to heal. Chiropractic became his calling, and he has devoted himself to perfecting his craft. Dr. Toka cherishes his life and health. He stays very active with hiking, surfing, exercising and running after his two beautiful daughters Clementine and Laelynn. He and his wife, Melinda, enjoy the great outdoors and have spent the past year traveling the US with the family (from sea to shining sea) in exploration of its beauty. They are all excited to set roots in New Hampshire and be a part of the Wolfeboro community.
